SPRING INTO SCHOLARSHIP GIVING CAMPAIGN
APRIL 1ST - MAY 31st
Nestled in the heart of the South Los Angeles community, Los Angeles Southwest College Foundation (“LASC”) continues to serve a low to moderate income ethnically diverse student body. The LASC Foundation aims to provide resources for initiatives, programs and scholarships directly benefiting the college’s scholars. In these uncertain times, one thing remains certain, our scholars still need our support—now more than ever.
We are raising $25,000 through our crowdfunding campaign to support the LASC Allied Health Department and nursing students (AND, CAN, and LVN). Funds for students will directly address the financial burden associated with completing their nursing training.
This includes the purchase of textbooks for new students, which are bundled and offered at a discounted rate in order to cover all three years of the students’ training. And for graduating students, funds will be directed toward registration and licensure fees associated with the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Practical Nurses. Such support will be offered to cohorts of 30 incoming and graduating students in the 2024-2025 academic year.
